Welcome to Ham Here! (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

Ham Here! provides toolsets for amateur radio operators, including repeater location mapping using data from amateurrepeaterdirectory.org, location-based grid square calculations, and contact configuration features.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

  • Licensing: While anyone may download the App to view publicly available repeater information, you acknowledge that transmitting on amateur radio frequencies requires a valid amateur radio license issued by your local governing authority (e.g., the FCC in the United States). You are solely responsible for ensuring your operating activities comply with all applicable local and international radio regulations.
  • Account Registration: To access certain features, you must register for an account using email sign-on via Supabase or a Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Attempt to disrupt, compromise, or degrade the security or performance of the App, Supabase authentication infrastructure, or external directory services.
  • Use any automated systems, scrapers, or bots to harvest data from the App.
  • Misrepresent your identity or amateur radio call sign.

4. Third-Party Services and Data

The App relies on third-party services and data sources, including amateurrepeaterdirectory.org for repeater directories, Supabase for account management, and Google for authentication.

  • We do not control, guarantee, or assume responsibility for the uptime, accuracy, completeness, or reliability of third-party data or services.
  • Any disruptions caused by these third-party platforms are outside our operational control.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, layouts, logos, and software code within Ham Here! are the intellectual property of the App developer or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial amateur radio purposes.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation of the App or the accuracy of the repeater listings and GPS calculations. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall the developer of Ham Here! be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to, reliance on incorrect repeater frequencies, loss of local log data, or any radio hardware issues resulting from coordinates provided by the App.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will become effective immediately upon updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
