To provide our services, Ham Here! collects and processes certain information:

  • Account Information: When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and any basic profile information provided during authentication. This data is used solely to manage your account, secure your access, and save your app preferences.
  • Amateur Radio Call Signs: If you input your amateur radio call sign, it is used to customize your profile and experience within the App.
  • Location Data: Ham Here! requests GPS location permissions on your mobile device. This data is used exclusively to find nearby ham radio repeaters, calculate distances, and determine your Maidenhead grid square locator. Your location coordinates are processed in real time and are not stored permanently or tracked over time.
  • Repeater Data: The App retrieves repeater information from amateurrepeaterdirectory.org. While the App queries this directory to display listings relative to your general area, no personal user information, precise GPS data, or account credentials are transmitted to this directory during these requests.

2. Third-Party Service Providers

We utilize trusted third-party services to handle secure authentication and account management. These services process your data strictly to fulfill these functions:

  • Supabase: We use Supabase to securely manage and store email/password user accounts and authentication states.
  • Google Sign-In: If you choose to log in using your Google account, Google shares your email address and basic profile information (such as your name and profile picture) with us to facilitate the login. Your use of this feature is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We believe your data belongs to you.

  • No Sale of Data: We do not sell or monetize your data in any way.
  • No Marketing: We do not share your information with advertisers or third-party marketers.
  • Legal Disclosures: We will only disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your data. By utilizing Supabase and Google Sign-In, your credentials are industry-standard encrypted and protected. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Ham Here! does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please take appropriate steps to manage their account access.
